Alex Hernandez from the popular technology review site Techaeris recently reviewed D-Link’s AC3200 Ultra Wi-Fi Router (DIR-890L/R) and said, “if Tesla designed a router, this might be it.” In the review Hernandez highlighted the AC3200’s design, advanced features, speed and range.
Hernandez first applauded the design of the AC3200, calling it “wicked and stealthy.” The bold look of the AC3200 was designed with functionality in mind as well. As Hernandez describes, “that design offers much more than aesthetics, it allows for six antennas that can be positioned to maximize your signal.”
And maximize his signal is exactly what the AC3200 did. The AC3200 upped Hernandez’s download speed from about 19mbps to 87mbps, an increase by 354%! Hernandez credits the out-of-the-box configurations that D-Link provides made it easy for him to set-up and utilize all its capabilities, “…they defaulted the settings to work with a typical network setup and it works really well.” The test that Hernandez ran was also from the second story of his home, quite a ways away from the AC3200. He noticed exceptionally strong signal in all the rooms of his home and even got signal around the edges of his three quarters of an acre property.
Ecstatic with the performance of the AC3200, Hernandez concludes that with the easy setup, rapid speeds and excellent range the AC3200 Ultra Wi-Fi- Router is “a winner winner chicken dinner” if you are looking to upgrade your router.
