Highlights from D-Link in the media last week include – Overlock.net, TestFreaks.com, and Gadgets for the Guru.
Tech Expert William Gayde from Overlock.net recently reviewed D-Link’s DIR-868L and gave it an awesome 4.5/5 star rating! William was a big fan of all the router’s great qualities including it’s compact and sleek design, easy setup, fast performance, advanced features and most importantly, its affordability, he mentions “The D-Link DIR-868L has by far the most unique design I have ever seen. Its round shape makes it instantly recognizable. Its great performance and price don’t hurt either”. William also mentions how easy the setup is, so “for those who don’t want to worry about any settings, the router comes pre-encrypted and works right out of the box”. He highly recommenced to router and concluded “All in all the D-Link DIR-868L is an excellent AC1750 router. Tom Ratas from the tech blog TestFreaks.com reviewed the new Wi-Fi Portable Router and Charger (DIR-510L) raved over it’s speed and high-level
overview, giving it a 9 out of 10 rating! Tom not only named the travel router a must have piece of technology but also that the compact device is ” ideal for road warriors as it can turn a wired connection into a secure Wi-Fi ones”. Tom wrapped up the fantastic review stating “I’ve used several routers and the D-Link SharePort III is definitely the best one I’ve come across. While it is definitely more expensive than its predecessors its newcapabilities help take the sting out of the cost. I know it will be accompanying me on pretty much all my journeys”. Tech enthusiast Janelle Ong from AZ Tech Beat’s ‘Gadgets for Gurus’ column also reviewed the DIR-510L and had nothing but nice things to say about the nifty device. Janelle highlighted some of the router’s capabilities “Using dual band technology users will be able to share files, stream media and browse the internet with less radio congestion and interface at speeds up to 750 Mbps”. She also liked how you can use the device to get around additional hotel fees when using multiple devices by just using the Portable Router and Charger “In many hotels, they only allow free Wi-Fi access to one device.
